Biography

Edson Brown boxed in the featherweight class for the US at the 1952 Olympics. He won two fights in Helsinki before losing in the quarter-finals. Brown later won the New York Daily News Golden Gloves open championship as a featherweight in both 1953 and 1954. He also won the 1953 New York Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions.
