Biography

Hugh Haggerty competed as a welterweight at the 1924 Olympics, winning two matches before losing in the quarter-finals to Canadian Doug Lewis. Haggerty later fought professionally from 1925-29, finishing with a nondescript record of 3 wins and 5 losses. He fought exclusively in the Pittsburgh and Johnstown, Pennsylvania area.
