Dino Innocenti was born and raised in Switzerland, and played ice hockey for EHC St. Moritz throughout the 1930s. Innocenti had dual Swiss-Italian citizenship, which saw him represent Italian teams from 1939 onwards, including a lengthy spell with HC Milano. He played one match for the Swiss B team before becoming a mainstay with the Italian national team. In 1948 Innocenti was part of the Italian team that competed at the St. Moritz Olympics where he played in six matches and scored five goals.
