Biography

Stefan Kjernholm competed in the luge for Blackebergs BC in Stockholm from 1970 to 1981. Kjernholm made his début in the Luge World Cup in 1977/78 season, taking his only victory in the 1979/80 season in the singles in Hammarstrand. At the same event he finished in second place in the doubles with partner Kenneth Holm.

Kjernholm competed in the singles at the 1976 Innsbruck Olympics where he finished in 15th place. Four years later at the Lake Placid Olympics he finished 18th in the singles and in 12th place in the doubles with Holm.
