Biography

Biathlete Heinz Kluge won a gold medal at the 1963 East German championships with the military ski patrol. In 1965 he added two silvers with the military ski patrol and in the individual event. Two years later he won bronze in the individual event. At the 1968 Grenoble Winter Games the East German relay team finished sixth, and Kluge was 24th in the 20 km event. He later became a youth coach in Zinnwald.
