Biography

Brad Hauser was a distance runner who ran the 5,000 metres at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He ran in college at Stanford, graduating with a degree in human biology. At Stanford Hauser won the 1998 NCAA 10,000 metres and was second in the 1999 NCAA 5,000 metres. He also finished second in the 10K at the 1999 USA Championships.

Hauer was 14th at the 1996 World Junior Championships in the 10K and placed 21st in the event at the 1999 World Championships. He ran twice at the World Cross-Country Championships, in 2000 and 2001, with a best finish of 15th in the 2000 short-course event. Hauser had a twin brother, Brent, who also ran distances for Stanford.

Personal Best: 5000 – 13:27.31 (2000).
