Biography

Bengt Lindqvist was a Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper who represented Malmö FF and the national team. Lindqvist was part of the Swedish ice hockey team that competed at the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics. In Sweden’s first match of the tournament, against Canada, Lindqvist was forced to retire early after being hit in the face by a puck. He missed the next group match, against Japan, but returned for the final round playing in the matches against Canada and the Unified Team of Germany.
