Biography

Chris George was a southpaw pitcher who helped the USA win a gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He was drafted in the first round of the Major League Baseball (MLB) draft in 1998 by the Kansas City Royals. He pitched in the majors from 2001-04 with the Royals, compiling a 14-20 career record as a starting pitcher.

George later played in the minor leagues for a few years, trying to get back to the show. He was with the Albuquerque Isotopes in 2006-07, a Florida Marlins Triple-A affiliate. He later played with the Colorado Springs in AAA ball, and then the Syracuse Chiefs. He last played professional baseball in 2012 with the Norfolk Tides.
