Chang Key-Young was a top businessman in Korea, working as a banker, publisher, sports leader, and politician. In politics he was a Member of Parliament, Minister of Economic Planning, and Deputy Prime Minister. In sports administration he served as either President or Vice-President for various National Federations, including athletics, baseball, football, and tennis. He was appointed to the Korean Olympic Committee in 1954 and became President of that group from 1966-68. He also served as President of the Asian Games Federation. Chang became an IOC Member in May 1967 and served until his death in 1977. He never missed an IOC Session during his tenure.
