Biography

Semyon, Prince Trubetskoy sponsored several sports clubs in St. Petersburg and was a member of the Organizing Committees for the All-Russian Olympiads at Kyiv in 1913 and Riga in 1914. He was co-opted onto the IOC in April 1908, but served only two years, and never attended an IOC Session during his tenure. Prince Trubetskoy was a member of the Court of the Tsar from 1905, but after the Bolshevik Revolution, he settled in Switzerland.
