Biography

Vital Vouardoux was a Swiss skier and mountain guide. Born in the mountain village of Grimentz, Vouardoux won a bronze medal in the 1943 Patrouille des Glaciers event, one of three military patrol events held during World War II in Switzerland. Vouardoux competed at the 1948 Winter Olympics while serving in the Swiss military as a Gefreiter. In the 1950s-60s he worked as a gamekeeper.
