Biography

Dick Coons prepped at Northfield Mount Herman School, class of 1946, where he played football, lacrosse and was on the ski team. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) where he played lacrosse and was on the US team at the 1948 Olympic demonstration. Coons played left wing attack on the Olympic team. He later became known as a lacrosse official. Coons is a member of the Northfield Mount Herman Athletic Hall of Fame.
