Henri Louette was born in Belgium but his family moved to Chambly-Vercheres, Québec in 1909, where he learned to play hockey. He returned to Belgium in the early 1920s, skating with Le Puck Antwerpen and Club des Patineurs de Bruxelles. A center, Louette competed at the 1924 Chamonix Winter Olympics and the 1923 European Championships.
