Biography

Olive Hasenfus was a two-time AAU Champion, winning the 220 yards in 1932 and the 200 metres in 1933. She graduated from Needham High School (Massachusetts) in 1930. She later married Thomas Henry Sparkes and then coached the girls’ track team at Needham HS, and also worked as a police woman. Hasenfus was inducted into the Massachusetts Track Coaches Hall of Fame.
