Biography

George Theodoratus was a Greek-American shot putter who was entered at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics but did not compete, possibly because he entered for Greece, but was found to be only a USA citizen. Theodoratus went to school at Washington State University, setting a world junior record in the shot put in 1931.

Theodoratus played football at Washington State, and wrestled and boxed there, winning the Pacific Collegiate heavyweight boxing championship in 1933. After college Theodoratus turned pro as a boxer. He had 13 bouts between 1936-38, finishing with a career record of 8 wins (4 by KO), 4 losses (all by KO), and 1 draw.
