Biography

Carol Skricki rowed double sculls at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She competed at four World Championships, rowing double sculls in 1998-99 and quad sculls in 2001-02, and winning a bronze medal in 2001. Skricki also won the single sculls at the 2001 Head of the Charles Regatta. She placed third in single sculls at the 1996 Canadian Henley Regatta.

Skricki was one of the older US rowing Olympians competing at Sydney at age 39. She had rowed in college at the University of New Hampshire, graduating with an English degree in 1984. She spent 10 years as a professional musician, playing the electric bass, acoustic bass, and guitar in various bands.
