Bobby Miller was one of the first US Olympic ice hockey players to have a long NHL career. Miller played college hockey for the University of New Hampshire, and was on US teams at the 1977, 1981, 1982, and 1985 World Championships, as well as the 1981 Canada Cup and 1976 Winter Olympics. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1976 NHL draft by the Boston Bruins. Miller played for the Bruins from 1977-81, and then moved to the Colorado Rockies for the 1981-82 seasons, and finished his NHL career with the Los Angeles Kings in 1984-85. In all he played in 404 NHL games, scoring 75 goals and 194 points as a center. He also played with teams in the Central and American Hockey Leagues, notably the Springfield Indians (1980-81, 82-83; AHL), and the Fort Worth Texans (1981-82; CHL). Miller finished his career in Europe, playing in Finland with Karpat in 1983-84 and in Switzerland with Sierre in 1985-86.
