Biography

Austrian ice hockey forward Herbert Mörtl played with Austria at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. The team was eliminated in the group stage and placed eighth as second in the consolation round. Mörtl won 67 international caps, scoring 37 goals and nine assists. Domestically he played entirely with EHC Feldkirch (later renamed to VEU Feldkirch) from 1969-82.
