Biography

Harald Oehme was an East German speed skater finishing 24th in the 500 metres and 20th in the 1,000 metres at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Games. In 1975 he won both all-round titles at the East German national championships and the following year won the 500 and the 1,000 metres titles. He later owned the Gasthof Witzschdorf restaurant in his hometown Zschopau.

Personal Bests: 500 – 38.19 (1978); 1000 – 1:17.19 (1978); 1500 – 2:01.7 (1976); 5000 – 7:25.83 (1976); 10000 – 15:28.6 (1976).
