Biography

French sprint canoer Armand Loreau represented EC Decize in the 1950s. Loreau won two silver medals at the 1950 Canoe Sprint World Championships when he and Georges Dransart finished second in both the C2 1,000 metres and the C2 10,000 metres. Two years later the pair competed in the C2 1,000 metres at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics where they narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing in fourth.
