Biography

Évariste Prat came from the French Alps close to the Italian border, and was a pioneer of ski racing in the French Army. As French Champion, he was selected for the 1926 World Championships in Finland. After retirement he continued to contribute to the promotion of winter sports. Prat was a half-brother of François Vallier, and both were ski scouts in the 159th Regiment.
