Biography

Harald Seifert was an East German bobsledder who finished and unfortunate fourth in the four-man (driven by Horst Schönau) at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Games. Seifert’s most memorable sporting year was 1978, when he won gold medals at both the World and European Championships. At Lake Placid, he won the four-man world title and, in the Europeans at Igls, he won the two-man title, and also added a four-man bronze.
