Biography

Domenico Semeraro’s career as an international bobsledder for Switzerland was brief. His biggest year came in 1993, when he was European and World Champion in the four-man alongside Donat Acklin, Kurt Meier, and Gustav Weder. This quartet then travelled to the 1994 Winter Olympics, where they won a silver medal in the event with a combined time of only 0.06 seconds slower than the gold medal-winning Germans. Semeraro never figured into a major international competition again and retired shortly after the Games.
