Biography

Roy Sherwood grew up jumping in Salisbury, Connecticut, along with his brother, Butch. Roy stayed in the area for many years, working with the town’s road crews until he retired and moved to Florida in 1993. Roy Sherwood was 1954 US ski jump champion, and later continued to compete until 1971. He then became a ski jumping judge for many years.
