Biography

During his career Hubert Sitko played in 355 matches in the Polish ice hockey league and scored 63 goals. Sitko joined Start Katowice in 1954, staying with the club until 1961, before playing with GKS Katowice until 1970. With Katowice he won the Polish championship on four occasions (1962, 1965, 1968, 1970), in addition to finishing as a runner-up three further times. From 1961 to 1967 he played in 63 matches for the Polish national team, including competing at four editions of the World Championships and the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics.
