Reginald Spevak

Reginald Spevak played for Pötzleinsdorfer SK in Wien (Vienna), although in 1932 the club changed its name to EK Engelmann. The forward represented Austria prior to the 1928 Olympics at the 1927 European Championships in Wien, where he won a gold medal with the Austrian team. He also competed at the 1926 and 1929 European Championships, winning bronze both times.

Spevak was the brother-in-law of 1924 Olympic figure skating pairs champion Helene Engelmann. Under the name Peregrin Spevak, he was nominated for the Austrian ice hockey team that was withdrawn from the 1924 Winter Olympic tournament at the last minute. Spevak mostly played on left defense, but also played right wing, and briefly was a goaltender. He received his international referee license in 1924.
