Biography

Edward Williams skied for Dartmouth, graduating in 1964, and competing in cross-country skiing for them, twice being named All-American. After serving in the US Army and competing in biathlon at the 1968 Winter Olympics, Williams returned to law school at Columbia, graduating in 1974. He has worked for several large New York law firms, and was a former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1979-83. He specializes in sports law, arbitrations, civil trials, and appeals. His sports law specialty has been for sports on the Olympic Program. Williams served on the USOC Athletes’ Advisory Council from 1974-83, chairing the Council from 1977-81.
