Biography

Austrian bobsledder Gerd Zaunschirm was a member of the four-men bob crew Austria I at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. The team finished seventh overall. Four years later at Lake Placid he partnered Franz Paulweber in the two-men bob and they placed ninth. He also crewed the four-men bob Austria II and came fifth. Zaunschirm later became an executive member at Raiffeisenbank Hausmannstätten and enjoyed playing golf.
