TV and Internet Rights Commission

The TV and Internet Rights Commission was formed in 2002 in response to the concern about streaming images of Olympic events being sent out over the Internet. The commission is responsible for preparing and implementing the overall International Olympic Committee (IOC) strategy for future broadcast rights negotiations. The commission was disbanded in the early 2010s and subsumed within the new Communications Commission.
