International Relations Commission

The International Relations Commission was formed in 2002, with a mandate to facilitate and promote relations between the Olympic Movement, particularly the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the National Olympic Committees, and governments and public authorities. It prepares position papers on specific political issues related to sport and advises the IOC president and the Executive Board accordingly. The Commission was composed of 12 IOC members. It was disbanded as a formal commission after the Presidency of Jacques Rogge ended.
