Nominations Commission

The Nominations Commission was formed at the 110th IOC Session in 1999 in order to institute a procedure for electing and re-electing International Olympic Committee (IOC) Members. The commission’s charge was to prepare a report on each prospective IOC candidate and present it to the IOC Executive Board. Based on these reports, the board presents candidates to the IOC session, which votes on inclusion of new members. The Nominations Commission was disbanded during the Presidency of Thomas Bach.
