Press Commission

The Press Commission was originally called the Press and Public Relations Commission, which was formed in 1967 and lasted until 1972. A separate Press Commission was formed in 1973, but this was disbanded in the early 2010s and replaced by the Communications Commission. There were three IOC Members on the Press Commission along with representatives of the world’s sporting press. Prior to becoming IOC Presidents, both Lord Killanin and Juan Antonio Samaranch served as chairmen of this commission.
