There was only one sculpture event at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. It had eight entrants from seven nations. The gold medal was given to American Walter Winans, who also competed at Stockholm in shooting, appearing in six different events, and winning a silver medal in the running deer team competition. Winans had also competed in shooting at London in 1908, where he had won a gold medal in the individual running deer (double shot) event.
