Description

The National Olympic Committees (NOCs) from Europe have formed this group in 1968 to further their interests with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The EOC is headquartered in Rome, Italy. The current president is Spyros Kapralos of Greece. The organisation has 50 current member federations. The group’s name was changed to The European Olympic Committees (EOC) in November 1994 at its meeting in Atlanta. Prior to that time it was known as the Association des Comités Nationaux Olympiques d’Europe (ACNOE) (1975-1994).
