Wallechinsky describes how the other medals were decided, in The Complete Book of the Olympics: “Both [Pietro] Bianchi and [Albert] Pettersson hoisted 107.5 kg. in a lift-off, using a two-handed jerk. They then drew lots to determine who would be awarded the silver medal.”
