Description

The Icelandic form of wrestling, called glíma, was held at the Olympic Games twice as a demonstration sport. In both 1908 and 1912, the top Icelandic wrestlers competed at the Olympics, but it helped little in popularizing their sport, which is still mostly competed in by Icelanders.
