Biography

Stacey Liapis was a curler who competed for the USA at the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics. Liapis started as a top junior curler, winning the US Junior Championship in 1990 and 1992-94, and winning silver medals at the World Juniors in 1992 and 1994, and a bronze medal in 1993. As a senior she won US titles in 1998 and 2001.

Liapis graduated from Bemidji State University in 1994. She later became a sheriff in the Cook County, Illinois sheriff’s department.
