Biography

Katie King played college hockey at Brown University, graduating in 1997, where she was ECAC Player of the Year in 1997 and a three-time Ivy League Player of the Year. King also lettered in softball at Brown, as a pitcher, was Ivy League Player of the Year in 1996, and is an inductee to the Brown Athletics Hall of Fame for both hockey and softball. She played at three Olympics for the United States in ice hockey and skated on the national team for 10 years. In 1998, King became the first American woman to score a hat trick at the Winter Olympics, and repeated that feat in 2006. In 2006 she became an assistant hockey coach at Boston College, and in 2007 moved up to become the head coach at BC.
