Biography

Japanese painter Nobunari Kusamitsu studied at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in the Western Painting Department and graduated in 1916. For some years he studied abroad supported by local-born volunteers, but returned home due to illness. Kusamitsu then held several exhibitions in his hometown of Tokyo, winning several first prizes at the annual official exhibitions, and died at his home at age 78.
