Biography

Danny Kass grew up in New Jersey, but attended the Okemo Mountain School in Vermont, so he could focus on snowboarding. In addition to his Olympic silver medals in halfpipe in 2002 and 2006, his best year was 2000-01, when he won every major event, including the US Open, the Winter X Superpipe, and the overall Chevy Grand Prix title. He won six medals in halfpipe, superpipe, and slopestyle at the Winter X Games from 2001-05, but never won another gold after 2001. Kass has won four US Open titles.
