Biography

German snowboarder Jan Michaelis was a halfpipe specialist who finished 12th and 15th at the 2002 Salt Lake City and 2006 Torino Winter Olympics, respectively. He qualified for the 2002 final but could not start due to injuries. In 2002 and 2006 he won the overall halfpipe World Cup. In 2002, Michaelis won his only German national title. He later studied international management.
