Biography

German alpine skier Petra Haltmayr participated in the 2002 Salt Lake City and 2006 Torino Winter Olympics, finishing sixth in the downhill event at Torino as her best result. In 2000, she won her only downhill World Cup race and the following year her only super G World Cup race, both at Lake Louise in the US. Nationally, Haltmayr won four titles, two in downhill, and one each in super G and giant slalom. Haltmayr studied international management and worked with German TV channel ZDF as a skiing expert. She married in 2016 and raised a daughter.
