Biography

Stephanie Wartosch-Kürten, sister of Sabine Rückauer, was a German ice hockey goalie until 2007, and was a forward after that. She participated in two Winter Olympics, finishing sixth in 2002 at Salt Lake City and fifth in 2006 at Torino. She also played in six World Championships and won 157 international caps.

At club level, Wartosch-Kürten played with ESG Esslingen (1995-98 and 2010-12), TV Lady Kodiaks Kornwestheim (1998-2005), and OSC Berlin (2005-08). She helped Esslingen win the German national title from 1995-98, Kornwestheim win it between 2001-04, and Berlin in 2006-07. Wartosch-Kürten played inline skater hockey from 2003-05 and participated in three Inline Hockey World Championships.
