Biography
Daniel Kreutzer was a German ice hockey forward who participated in the 2002 Salt Lake City and 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. The team lost in 2002 to the United States 5-0 after winning the group stage ahead of Latvia, Austria, and Slovakia. In 2006, they were eliminated in the group stage and disappointed with a tenth place. In total, Kreutzer won 201 international caps and scored 36 goals. He participated in 12 World Championships.
At club level, Kreutzer played with Düsseldorfer EG (until 1997), Revierlöwen Oberhausen (1997-98), and Kassel Huskies (1998-2002), and then returned to Düsseldorf (2002-17). He started his coaching career with Düsseldorf. Daniel’s brother Christof was also a hockey professional. Their parents were the operators of restaurant “Kreutzer” at the former DEG stadium Brehmstrasse.
