Biography

German field hockey player Philippa Suxdorf competed in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, when Germany placed a disappointing sixth. In total, she played 154 international matches (including five indoor) from 1989-99, scoring 24 goals. In 1998, she won the gold medal at the European Indoor Championships. Domestically, Suxdorf played with Klipper HTC Uhlenhorst Hamburg for the whole of her career. She later married Dutch national player Toon de Nooijer.
