Claudia Hoffmann was a German 400 metres runner participating with the 4x400 metres relay teams at the 2004 Athens and the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The squad was eliminated in the heats in 2004 and came sixth in 2008. At World Championships, Hoffmann finished sixth in 2005 and fifth in 2009, and at Europeans placed fifth in 2006 and won the silver medal in 2010, all in the 4x400. After the disqualification of the 2010 Russian relay team due to doping cases, the German foursome became European Champions.
Between 2005-08 Hoffmann was the German National 400 metres champion, and in 2006-07, and 2009 was also the indoor champion. Hoffmann later studied sports management.
