Nevena Lukic was an Austrian flyweight taekwondo exponent participating at the 2004 Athens Olympics. She won her first bout against Lineo Mochesane from Lesotho and lost her quarter-final to Guatemala’s Euda Carías, although she protested the result on account of several hits not being awarded. However, the protest was not upheld.
Lukic had her greatest moment in winning the gold medal at the 2004 European Championships. She added another gold medal at the 2002 Military Worlds, and bronze and silver in the following two years. In 2005, she won another bronze medal at the World Championships. Lukic also won nine national titles and was awarded the Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria in 2004.
Lukic was of Serbian descent but grew up in Austria. After her sports career, she trained as an actress in Salzburg from 2006-09. Subsequently, she was engaged by German-language theatres and performed in Austria, Switzerland, and South Tyrol.
