Biography

Throughout the 1980s Swedish dressage rider Ingamay Bylund represented both Tranås RK and the national equestrian team. In 1984 Bylund was selected to ride at the Los Angeles Olympics, where she won bronze in the team event and finished fourth in the individual competition. Internationally she also rode at two World Championships and one European Championship. Bylund won her first medal at the Swedish Championships in 1983 with an individual silver, before winning back-to-back golds in the event in 1984 and 1985. She won another silver in 1986, followed by bronze in 1987. Bylund was also a successful trainer, with her student Patrik Kittel representing Sweden at four Olympic Games.
