Biography

Bodo Battenberg was an eventer and member of the German equestrian team that finished a disappointing ninth at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He won the team silver medal, however, at the 1999 European Championships. Battenberg also won the German individual national title in 1996 and 1997. By profession he was a lawyer specialising in equine law. He also owned a stable at Rettenbach in Bavaria.
