Abdul Hamid Al-Hajji spent most of his career working in the Ministry of Interior in Kuwait, including as the department director of the police force. Al-Hajji held many positions in the sports field including the President of the Arab and International Police Sports Federation, and the President of the Arab Swimming Federation. He was instrumental in founding Kuwait’s Swimming Federation where he also served as their President. Al-Hajji later served as the Vice-President of Kuwait’s Olympic Committee and was awarded with the Olympic Order in Silver in 1984.
